Bára Drover

He has lived in Melbourne for many years

He comes from a small town in Northern Bohemia. Since 2009 she has been working as an industrial hygienist in Melbourne, Australia. She studied chemical engineering (ICT, Prague 2006) and later industrial hygiene (Deakin University, Melbourne 2011). Job opportunities took Bara to all (even the most remote) parts of Australia, where the goal was not only to handle the job in often extreme conditions (temperatures around 50 ° C and distance from civilization), but also to overcome personal fears and doubts that you at school definitely won’t prepare. The engineering foundation helped Bára to deepen his research in several areas of industrial hygiene, the results of which he regularly presents at international conferences. In 2017, she won the „Best Paper“ award from the AIOH (Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists).

Jana Půlpánová

She had no plans to study in Perth or live in Australia, but now it’s all happening

An ecologist and a girl who tells all the challenges YES! Founder of JAPU – Smart porridge and Envirostyl agency. Jana is a teacher of dynamic yoga styles and a long-time vegan. In the Czech Republic, she publicly acted as an environmentalist focusing on waste prevention and global environmental distress. A Prague woman who got stuck in a bubble „without a cover“ in Western Australia due to a pandemic. She left the Czech Republic with a small backpack for six months of traveling around the world, arriving in Australia at the beginning of March 2020. Originally, it was supposed to be a 14-day stopover on the way to Japan, where she did not reach due to an outbreak of a pandemic. She never planned to live in Australia, the goal of the trip was to gather strength for the development of Envirostyl, not to end the business. He is now planning to move to Tasmania, studying English in Perth and deciding how to start living a new life stage.

A student who went to Australia after graduation and finally stayed there for a beautiful 6 months. In Australia, she studied, worked, traveled, met new people, cultures and herself in full parade. Along the way, she met a lot of people and heard many stories that opened her eyes. Therefore, she decided to share these stories in the form of a conference and networking.

It’s about getting to know, share, and connect online quickly. The goal is to share our experiences with fears, travel and ordinary joys and worries of life. We will connect with each other, Czechs living in the Czech Republic, Czechs living in Australia, Czechs living anywhere. Networking participants are divided into pairs. The dating itself takes place in the form of minute networking. Each of the couple has 2 minutes to perform. This time, however, it will not only be like this, but we also have a surprise for you! We will focus on fears and travel, we will be able to ask guests from the conference for further questions.
